"Matt undertook the restoration of a MCM china cabinet and circa 1930s dining set after a bathroom disaster. The china cabinet took the worst of it — the top had warped and the veneer had come up badly. What black magic must have been performed to correct that, I don't want to know. We had agreed that Matt would spot refinish the front and sides, but it was enough that he decided to take the unit apart and refinish it all. Doing otherwise would have been less than to his professional standards. The dining set was an ordeal, I am sure — it has drawer leaves that slide under the tabletop, and putting it back together required some study. He tackled it well and the set is gorgeous. Throughout this process, Matt was incredibly communicative about finish options and knowledgeable as to what would have been true to the piece for its era, which I valued. He knows what he is doing and does it incredibly well. He prices his work too low, in my opinion. 12/10, would recommend Matt for your refinishing needs!"

The best answer is that it costs much less than new furniture, especially for priceless family pieces that can't be replaced. Every piece is of furniture is different and each has its own specific needs and range of options, so it's best to just ask for a free estimate. .
Local pick up and return delivery is provided. There is a reasonable cost of time and travel for work located out of town, or shipping can be arranged if it's across the country.
Most jobs usually take 2-4 weeks on average, but it depends on the piece(s) and what they require. For a rush job, one week would be the fastest turnaround possible.
Dressers, tables, chairs, cabinets, credenzas, desks... anything wood. For upholstered pieces, we can work in tandem with your upholsterer or suggest one for you.
Wood is a unique medium and no two pieces look exactly the same and that's part of the beauty of it, but the answer is very nearly always yes. For complicated color matches and finishes, sample boards are made for your approval prior to any work.
