What Customers Say

★★★★★

"Matt undertook the restoration of a MCM china cabinet and circa 1930s dining set after a bathroom disaster. The china cabinet took the worst of it — the top had warped and the veneer had come up badly. What black magic must have been performed to correct that, I don't want to know. We had agreed that Matt would spot refinish the front and sides, but it was enough that he decided to take the unit apart and refinish it all. Doing otherwise would have been less than to his professional standards. The dining set was an ordeal, I am sure — it has drawer leaves that slide under the tabletop, and putting it back together required some study. He tackled it well and the set is gorgeous. Throughout this process, Matt was incredibly communicative about finish options and knowledgeable as to what would have been true to the piece for its era, which I valued. He knows what he is doing and does it incredibly well. He prices his work too low, in my opinion. 12/10, would recommend Matt for your refinishing needs!"

Common Questions

How much does it cost?

Most pieces run $150–$600 depending on size, condition, and finish. Small repairs start lower; large case pieces or heavily damaged items may run more. Text a photo and I'll give you a real number fast — no guessing.

Do you pick up and deliver?

Yes. I regularly pick up and deliver across Nebraska and into Kansas City (~3 hours). Further is possible — just ask. Pickup/delivery cost depends on distance and is discussed upfront.

How long does it take?

Turnaround is typically 2–6 weeks depending on the piece and current workload. Rush orders are sometimes possible — ask when you reach out.

What kinds of pieces do you work on?

Dressers, tables, chairs, cabinets, credenzas, desks — most solid wood or veneer furniture. If you're not sure, send a photo and I'll tell you honestly whether it's worth doing.

Can you match an existing finish or color?

Often yes. Bring a sample, a photo, or describe the look you're going for. I can also help you choose a finish that suits the wood and your space.
